What Dinks & Drinks collects when you register, where it goes, who can see it, and how long we keep it. Written from an audit of what this site actually does, not from a template.

The short version

If you register for an event we keep your name, email, and anything else you choose to tell us so we can run the event and follow up about future ones. We copy it into our CRM, Pipedrive. We keep it for three years. We set one cookie, and only if you sign in. You can ask us to delete you at any time by emailing [email protected].

What we collect

Only what you type into the registration form, plus anonymous page statistics.

We do not buy personal data, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not run advertising pixels on this site.

Where it goes

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Who can see it

Photographs

We take photographs at events and publish some of them on this site. If you appear in one and would rather not, email [email protected] and we will take it down. We do not tag or name people in photo captions unless they have asked us to.

Cookies

One cookie, and only if you sign in. Browse the site and we set nothing at all — no cookies, no local storage, no advertising or tracking tags. Sign in and we set a single cookie so that you stay signed in. That is its only job: no advertising, no analytics, nobody else sees it.

It is a strictly necessary cookie — signing in cannot work without it — which is why there is no consent banner asking you to accept it. You consent by choosing to sign in, and signing out removes it.

Our page statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless by design — it does not use cookies or device fingerprinting, and it cannot follow you to other websites.

Our typeface is served from this website rather than from Google Fonts, specifically so that visiting this page does not disclose your IP address to Google.

The cookie is named eq5_session. It holds a random value that identifies your session and nothing else — not your name, not your email. It is marked HttpOnly, so no JavaScript on the page can read it, and it expires after 30 days or when you sign out, whichever comes first.

How long we keep it

Deleting your data

Email [email protected] and ask. We will remove your name from this website and take down any photograph of you that you point us to, and we will delete your record from our database and from Pipedrive.

You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honour those requests regardless of where you live.
